A student of Jahangirnagar University was found dead at the house she was living in Ambagan area, adjacent to the university, on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Kazi Samita Ashka alias Neha, of Satkhira district.

Nafis Iqbal, Samita’s friend, said getting no response from her for a long time, he along with his friends went to her house and found the door locked from inside around 9:00pm on Friday night.

Later, breaking the door, they went into her room and found her body which was hanging from the ceiling.

They took her to the university medical centre but the doctors referred her to Savar Enam Medical College and Hospital. When she was taken there, the on duty doctors declared Samita dead.
